8th Annual Dog Beard and Moustache and Halloween Costume Competition!

The Austin Facial Hair Club, Still Austin Whiskey, and The Little Darlin' are teaming up to raise funds and awareness for Austin Pets Alive!



The Little Darlin’ opens at 11am. We will be there around noon to start setting up, and we will begin onsite registration around 1pm. Registration will be open for the rest of the day in case you have to show up late.
We will post a “Run of Show” with exact category times closer to the event.

This family-friendly* event is Free to watch (donations also accepted) and $5 entry fee per category.
You can enter your dog into as many categories as you like.

Don't have a dog? Come join the party anyway!
There will be an AMAZING raffle with tons of prizes.

Dog doesn't have a beard?
The AFHC has your dog covered.

We'll have a craft table set up so you can create an awesome beard for your dog (and for you if you want).

CATEGORIES:
Dog & Owner Look-A-Like:
Pet and owner must be similar in appearance, style, and attitude

Freestyle: Styled beard and moustache. Styling products permitted, any shape or color! Emphasis on creativity and complexity of design. Anything goes, and costumes are welcome.

Best Groomed: Neatest-looking, well-kept dog beard. Emphasis on symmetry, clean lines, and a neatness of the canine beard.

Gnarliest Beard: Wild-looking, gnarly dog beard! The wilder the better!

Sweetest Stache: The title says it all!

Old Timer: Has your dog become a curmudgeon, full of grey hair and living on a prayer? Give them one last hurrah by entering them here!

Halloween Costume: Does your dog have a cool costume? Let’s see it!

AND THEN, THE FINALE!!!
BEST IN SHOW: Winners of each category will go head-to-head to see who is the overall Best in Show!
Audience participation will be a big factor in this decision.

We will also be registering walk up competitors on the day of the event.

Registration begins onsite at 2pm and the competition will begin at 3pm.

We will have several Austin area animal non-profits and groups set up to share information about what they do, and we will also have craft vendors and a phenomenal raffle!

Did we mention that we will have an AMAZING raffle and the raffle winners will be announced throughout the day?
